Thanks for stopping by. I’m a composer and performer who’s not particularly fond of writing third-person formal bios. However, if you need one of those for programs etc., just keep scrolling down.
I moved to Boston a few years ago after spending a year as a visiting professor and composer in residence at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Before I moved out East, I lived in Porto, Portugal for about a year where I was working with interactive motion tracking systems for interdisciplinary collaborations and prior to that, I lived in Austin, TX. To sum that up chronologically with food:
Tacos–>Francesinhas–>Dim Sum–>Lobstah.
I’ve written music for a lot of different situations and I’m really into collaborating with other artists. I’m completely fascinated by the expressive capabilities of sound, ranging from acoustic music to sound-collage to interactive installations and everything in between. If you want to know more about what I do, take a look at the Works page, scroll down to read my bio below, or drop me a line at stevensnowden@gmail.com
Oh… and I was born in 1981, in case you need that info for a program.
