We’re big fans of the Blanton Museum of Art and are excited to announce that FFA Co-director Charlie Magnone will performing at their free Beat the Rush event this month.

Here’s the schedule for the day.

12:30pm-1:00pm ~ Public Tour: Persuasion: Messages & Meaning in Art
See all of the ways artists convey messages on this tour of our permanent collection.

5:30-6:15pm ~ Beat the Rush: Charlie Magnone
Skip the ATX traffic and experience this unique program for emerging artists. This week we will be joined by Fast Forward Austin‘s Co-Director Charlie Magnone.

7:30-8:00pm ~ Slow Looking
Enjoy a thoughtful and relaxed 30-minute conversation about a single work of art on view at the museum.

And don’t miss our current exhibition “Line Form Color,” a selection of bold works on paper from our collection.

Museum admission is always free on Thursdays. On the third Thursday of each month, the museum remains open until 9 pm.

The Blanton is located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Paid parking is available in the Blanton/Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Parking is $4; bring your ticket with you to the front desk of the museum.
