The high point of our year is getting together to experience cutting-edge, contemporary music with all our friends. We aren’t able to meet in person this year, but 2020 can’t stop the music. And Fast Forward Austin is thrilled to go virtual!

This Sunday, December 13th at 2p CST (3p EST) we bring a diverse lineup of exciting artists from around Texas and around the country to our YouTube channel.

• NYC-based Bergamot Quartet is shaking up the string quartet world through innovative programing and commissioning projects;
• Spectrum Ensemble, the percussion duo out of North Texas, brings precocious wit and LGBTQ+ pride to the festivities;
• Austin’s own Grammy-winning choir Conspirare, directed by Craig Hella Johnson, and Austin Guitar Quartet join our line-up after their acclaimed collaboration with composer Nico Muhly and the release of their new CD The Singing Guitar;
• HTX-born, NYC-based bassoonist and multi-media artist Clifton Joey Guidry III premieres a new project that inhabits their lyrical, thought-provoking, and honest voice on the 2020 FFA festival; and
• ATX’s newest ensemble VAMP, a quintet of local super-singers, bring their sophisticated artistry and attitude to the genre of vocal chamber music.

While we can’t gather together at 4th Tap Brewery for an afternoon of live music and great beer, we can bring you a Sunday Funday lineup of exciting artists directly to your devices. So grab a relaxing beverage and enjoy this stellar lineup, wherever you may be, safe and sound.
