FFA presents Cordova Quartet at the official SXSW Composers Showcase! This will be part of a six-hour event focusing on music by living composers performed by some of Austin’s most adventurous ensembles.

CordovaQuartet-1Since their formation in 2013, the Cordova Quartet has performed in venues ranging from Texas to Minnesota. With a passion for education, the quartet has presented concerts and workshops for students of all ages and were recently engaged by the Madeline Island Music Camp for a five-day Artist Residency in the Twin Cities that included several public performances as well as coaching chamber music students and performing at a local school. The Cordova Quartet actively seeks to engage their community in diverse ways, including performances in libraries, art galleries, and bars. They began playing together at Rice University, and are currently the Young Professional String Quartet in Residence at the University of Texas at Austin where they study with the Miró Quartet.
