In order to perform this piece with the electronic track, you will only need a stereo/ speakers powerful enough to be on an equal volume level with your live instruments. The pulse persists throughout and you shouldn’t need a click track or any specialized hardware. You’re welcome to use any objects or instruments to perform this piece. Included with the performance notes are some instrumentation suggestions to get you started.

In response to social distancing requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic I put out an open call for field recordings. These sonic snapshots provide a glimpse into the each person’s unique experience of isolation. The electronics for this piece come entirely from this crowd-sourced library of Sounds From Home. It was fascinating to hear such varied soundscapes and I’m so thankful to everyone who participated.
